RUSHVILLE — Amy B. Linville, 82, of Milroy, passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 at her residence.

Born March 3, 1930 in the community of Waterloo in Fayette County, she is the daughter of the late William Joseph and Maude Steele Rose.

Amy retired from Ford Electronics in 1992 after 26 years of service. She was a member of  Local 919 IUE and a member of AFC-CIO.

She is survived by her children, Ron and Donna Philpot of Connersville, Roger and JoAnn Philpot of Deltona, Fla., Dale and Dottie Linville of Milroy, Barry and Bobbi Linville of Milroy, Jim and Tara Linville of Indianapolis, Stuart and Nicole Linville of Mays and Angela Linville of Milroy;  two sisters, Ruby Jaggers of Rushville and Martha McCowan of Connersville; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her step children, Bill Linville, Janie Nickel, Martha Crain, Pat Gordon, Pam King, John Linville and Tom Linville; as well as several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Linville, whom she married Nov. 27, 1957; he died Feb. 18, 1989. She is also preceded in death by two children, Linda Philpot and Steven Linville; five brothers, Leslie, Carlos, Hiram, Herbert and Nelson; three sisters, Goldie, Flora and Ruth; and three step children, Betty Ryckman, Bellva Cregor and Mike Linville.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Urban Winkler Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery in Rush County. Visitation is4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
