Janet C. Love Lee, 83

Rushville Republican

RUSHVILLE — Janet C. Love Lee, 83, of Jeffersonville, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at the Hosparus Care Center in Louisville, Ky.

She was born May 28, 1929 in Rush County to the late Oscar H. and Bernice Gordon Love Sr. of Rushville.

Janet was a bookkeeper and administrator in the financial sector and formerly worked at the Edwardsville Water Co. in Edwardsville. She was the widow of Wayne E. Lee, who was a U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II and died in 2003. Janet was a member of Jeffersonville Christian Church and Bethany Christian Church, both in Jeffersonville.

Survivors include daughter, Diana Lee Collins (and husband, Rick) of Jasper; son, Kevin W. Lee (and wife, Janet) of Borden; four grandchildren, Eric, Jonathan, Brooks, and Ian; three great-grandchildren, Amanda, Brooks Jr. and Briahna; sister, Judith Haywood (and husband, Ron) of Indianapolis; brothers, Jack L. Love (and wife, Elsie) of Jeffersonville, Oscar Love Jr. of Rushville; and many nieces and nephews.

Reception of family and friends will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany with her funeral service at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with cremation to follow. Burial of remains will be with her husband in New Albany National Cemetery.
