Emily A. Stanley, 69

Rushville Republican

RUSHVILLE — Emily A. Stanley, 69, a lifelong Rush County resident, passed away Feb. 9, 2013 in Indianapolis.

Emily was born Feb. 3, 1944 in Rushville to Cleveland and Virginia (Houston) Ketchum. Emily was a 1961 graduate of Mays High School. She married Harry Stanley Oct. 9, 1962; he preceded her in death Aug. 7, 2003. Emily was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Rushville.

She is survived by her sons, Lushie E. and wife Lena Stanley, Harry Jr. and wife Debbie Stanley of Manilla and Joseph and wife Dovie Stanley of Rushville; daughters, Teresa and husband Danny Hammond, Michelle Stanley and Stacey Stanley, all of Rushville; sisters, Bertha Jane and husband Randy Stevenson of Old Town, Fla., Rebecca and husband Jim Barker of Cleveland, Ohio, and Denzil Reynolds of Rushville; 23 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, Emily was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, with Ray Sweet III presiding. Friends are welcome to visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Rushville’s East Hill Cemetery.
