Clyde W. Ripberger, 81


Clyde W. Ripberger, 81, of Glenwood, died Oct. 12, 2009.

Born Dec. 20, 1927 in Wayne County, he was the son of Adam and Eleanora Orschell Ripberger, both deceased. He married Wilma E. Schneider Nov. 21, 1964; she preceded him in death Jan. 2, 1995.

Mr. Ripberger was a 1947 graduate of New Salem High School and a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Indiana Farm Bureau and St. Mary Catholic Church in Rushville.

Survivors include a brother, Eugene (Betty) of Falmouth; four nephews, Chris (Debbie) of Glenwood, Tom (Regina) of Falmouth, Glen (Lynn) of Greenwood, Neil (Jennifer) of Falmouth; one niece, Carol (Gene) Baker of Westfield; and special friend, Ruth Stevens of Glenwood.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rushville with the Rev. William Turner officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Rushville’s Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville where the public is invited for the Rosary at 1:45 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s charity of choice.
