Lorene Maple Robbins, 79


Lorene Maple Robbins, 79, of Greensburg, died Nov. 23, 2009.

Born July 12, 1930 in Rush County, she was the daughter of Clarence and Fannie (Deerin) Maple, both deceased. She married Ernest Robbins July 25, 1948; he survives.

Mrs. Robbins was a 1948 graduate of New Salem High School and attended Clarksburg Covenant Church for many years. She was a nanny for several years for Dr. Barbara and Steve Taylor.

Survivors in addition to her husband include daughter, Marcia (Timothy) Hausman of Greensburg; twin sister, Florine Clements of Joliet, Ill.; grandson, Rodney (Amber) Hausman of Greensburg; granddaughter, Katelyn Hausman (and fiancé Jeremy Holliday) of North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Breydon and Elizabeth Hausman; "grandchildren of the heart," Adam and Natalie Taylor, who she nannied for many years.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Clarence Clifford Jr., John Herbert and William Kenneth Maple; and sister, Ruth Kile.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Moster Mortuary in Rushville with the Rev. David Steidel officiating. Burial will be in Decatur County's Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of South-Central Indiana or Gideons International.
