Mark Andrew Mullins, 34, of Kingwood, Texas, died Dec. 29, 2009.
Born March 27, 1975 in Connersville, he was the son of Jerry and Kathryn Kehl Mullins. He married Meredith Price Dec. 18, 2004; she survives.
Mr. Mullins grew up in Connersville and graduated from Connersville High School in 1993. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati and a Juris Doctorate Law Degree from Michigan State University. He served four years in the U.S. Navy. He was most recently a science teacher for Humble High School in Texas.
Survivors in addition to his wife include sons, Luke and Zachariah Mullins of Kingwood, Texas; his mother, Kathryn Suzuki of Connersville; his father, Jerry Mullins (and his wife, Cynthia) of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandparents, Lillian Kehl of Connersville, and Leonard and Jean Mullins of Bradenton, Fla.; sisters, Melissa (Jason) Day of Indianapolis, Jessica Mullins of Chicago, Ill., and Jennifer Mullins (and her significant other, Rick Simmons) of Cedar Grove; brothers, Richard Suzuki of Connersville and Shane (Christi) Carnahan of Milford, Ohio.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the John Miller Building in Roberts Park in Connersville with Pastor Fuzzy Lake officiating. Fayette County Veterans Council will conduct military honors. Family and friends may visit from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University.
