Doris Sue Moore, 56

Rushville Republican

RUSHVILLE — Doris Sue Moore, 56, of Rushville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 in Carmel.

She was born April 15, 1956 in Albany, Ky. to Everett and Shirley (Mooreland) Lowe. She spent her early life in New Castle before moving to Rushville in 1973. She married Rick Moore Oct. 6, 1978.

Doris worked for several years in the dietary department at Flatrock River Lodge in Rushville.

She is survived by her parents, Everett and Shirley Lowe of New Castle; her husband, Rick of Rushville; daughters, Bobbie Moore, Debbie and husband Sam Stephen and Peggy and husband Boyd Green, all of Rushville; brothers, Gene Lowe, Pete and wife Brenda Lowe and Lee Lowe, all of New Castle; a sister, Judy and husband Mark Slober of New Castle; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Lowe.

Services for Doris will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Rev. Charles Justice presiding. Friends are welcome to visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Arlington East Hill Cemetery.
