RUSHVILLE —
Robert R. "Bobby" Spiker, Jr., 56, passed away Jan. 27, 2012 at his residence. The son of Robert R. Spiker, Sr., and Anna Alberta Sleeth Spiker was born July 15, 1955 in Hancock County.
Bobby worked for Central Engineering & Construction Association for more than 30 years. He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers and attended Arlington Christian Church.
After New Palestine High School, Bobby found a love for Harley Davidson motorcycles, the Teamsters Hunting Mushrooms, teasing the kids and the weekly Sunday breakfast at the Donut Shop in Rushville.
Bobby is survived by his father, Robert R. Spiker, Sr., and daughter, Marlisa Spiker (Kevin Swinehart) and Starr Hinton; sons, Rex A., Justin (Monica) Spiker, and Tyler Spiker.
Bobby was blessed with nine brothers and sisters, Tommy (Linda) Spiker, Barry Spiker, Kevin Spiker, Russell (Becky) Spiker, Walter (Kathy) Spiker and Dawn (Jerry) Hallgarth. He is also survived by five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and 128 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at Hendryx Mortuary in New Palestine Chapel, 19 E. Main St. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown. Online condolences may be sent to HenryxMortuary.com
