RUSHVILLE — Louetta L. Bane, 84, a lifetime Rush County resident, passed away Feb. 21, 2013, in Rushville.

She was born Oct. 29, 1928, in Rush County to Fred and Louetta (Gearhard) Pike.  

Louetta was a 1946 graduate of New Salem High School. She lived in the New Salem community her entire life. She married Howard D. Bane July 21, 1968; he preceded her in death Jan. 30, 1990. Louetta managed the Fifth Wheel Restaurant in New Salem many years; it later was known as the Brick Cottage Restaurant. She was a member of Little Flatrock Christian Church.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her husband, Louetta, was preceded in death by her brothers, Cecil and Robert Pike; and sisters, Helen Kinnett, Dorothy Wilson, Ruth Brown, Thelma Colter; and two infant sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25 at Fisher/Richland Cemetery in Rush County. Pastor Patrick Smith will preside. Friends are welcome to visit from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Moster Mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
