RUSHVILLE —

Wayne Ralston, 78, of Rushville, passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Wayne was born May 27, 1932 in Rush County to John and Carrie (Reese) Ralston, both deceased. He married Patricia J. Mason July 6, 1958; she survives. He lived most of his life in the Rushville and Milroy communities. Wayne worked as a foreman with Schnadig Corporation until 1988, retiring after 39 years. He also was employed by Rushville County Schools where he was a janitor at the high school for 12 years, retiring in 2002. Wayne was a member of the Rushville Eagle's Lodge. In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Jeff Ralston of Rushville; one daughter, Mrs. Bob (Andrea) Harvey of Rushville; brothers, Charles and Mike Ralston, both of Milroy; a sister, Donna Smiley of Milroy; and three grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Ron Simbro officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Milroy’s East Brook Cemetery.
