RUSHVILLE —
Robert C. Elston, 85, of Milroy, passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis.
Robert was born in Switzerland County on March 27, 1927, a son of the late MaryEtta (Blighton) and Friedly Elston. He is survived by his wife, Pattie Sue (Wiley) Elston. They were married Jan. 9, 1949.
He was a retired farmer, member of the Old Engine Club and served in the U.S. Army in WW II.
In addition to his wife, Pattie Sue Elston, he is survived by daughters, AnEtta S., wife of John E. Ewbank, of Greensburg, Deborah L., wife of Gary Ruble, of Florida, and Teresa E. Elston, wife of Eric Watkins, of California; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald L. Elston; and sisters, Dorothy Page, Eleanor J. McLaughlin, Mary A. Ray, Kathryn Stuart and Freda L. Zeller.
Grave Side Rites will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Moscow Cemetery, Moscow. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Burns Funeral Home in Milroy.
