Marcella “Frances” DeWitte, 93

Rushville Republican

RUSHVILLE — Marcella “Frances” DeWitte, 93, of Rushville and formerly of Indianapolis, passed away Jan. 2, 2013.

She was born Nov. 15, 1919 in Waynesburg, Ky. to the late Leemon and Murial Morgan Singleton. She married John DeWitte, and was employed as an inspector with P.R. Mallory. Frances was a longtime member of Irvington Presbyterian Church and a volunteer at Methodist Hospital for many years.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington Street.

Frances is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, John DeWitte; sons, Kevin (Vicky) and Timothy (Mona) DeWitte; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
