RUSHVILLE — John S. Price, a lifelong Rush County resident, passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 in Rushville.

He was born June 7, 1949 in Rush County to the late Lowell Irvin and Wilma I. (Browning) Price.

John was a 1967 graduate of Arlington High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam in 1969 and 1970.

John Married Rebecca “Becky” Reno July 30, 1999; she survives. He was a member of Rushville American Legion #150, Eagles #2036 and the VFW. John was a maintenance technician for Copeland and Ryobi, retiring after 35 years.

In addition to his wife, Becky of Rushville, John leaves behind sons, Nathan Price (and wife Christy) of New Palestine, Lucas Price (and wife Talena) of Noblesville; daughter, Amy Price-Dunaway (and husband Andy) of Plainfield; step daughter, Stacie Smiley of Rushville; and seven grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Bob Brock presiding. Friends are welcome to visit from 11 a.m. until the time of service that same day. Burial will follow in East Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be held at the mortuary.
