Wallace W. Fuchs, 91

Rushville Republican

RUSHVILLE — Wallace W. Fuchs, 91, of Waldron, passed away Jan. 23, 2013.

Born June 20, 1921 in Shelby County, he was the son of the late Roy and Bessie (Monroe) Fuchs. He married Virginia Jenkins May 21, 1939; she survives.

Mr. Fuchs lived in the Shelby County area his entire life. He was a self-employed painter and wallpaper hanger and also had worked at Coers & Son Painting & Wallpapering several years. He also worked for 25 years at Amos Plastics in Edinburgh and at Admiral Corp. He attended Waldron High School, was a member of Blue Ridge Christian Union Church and was a former member of the Manilla Lions Club. He enjoyed woodworking and refurbishing furniture. He loved his church and his family. He also enjoyed Sunday evening meals with his family.

In addition to his wife, survivors include sons, Donald (Naomi) Fuchs of Shelbyville and Ronald (Jane) Fuchs of Waldron; grandchildren, Kevin, Matthew, Julie and Jeffery; two step grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and one step great-great-grandchild.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother and another brother, Norman Fuchs.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28 at Blue Ridge Christian Union Church. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home in Shelbyville.
