Charlotte Lienemann (nee Haley)

RUSHVILLE — Charlotte Lienemann (nee Haley) died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at her Bloomington home.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gavin Xavier, whom she married Sept. 7, 2007, in Dwight, Ill. Also surviving are her parents, Charles and Adrianne Haley of rural Clifton; her brother, Benjamin Haley of rural Clifton; her parents-in-law, Kathy and Kenny Dean and Ron and Cora Lienemann, all of Rushville; two brothers-in-law, Justin (Lauren) Lienemann and nephews Bryce of St. Louis, Mo. and Branden Lienemann (and his close friend, Charli Lehman) of Indianapolis; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Charlotte was born April 1, 1983 in Kankakee, Ill., and grew up in Milks Grove Township on the family farm until she was invited to attend the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in Aurora, from which she graduated in 2001. She also attended the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, from which she graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in actuarial science.

Charlotte worked as an actuary for State Farm in Bloomington where she met her future husband. In recent years, she worked as a Realtor, first for Coldwell Banker and currently for Keller-Williams. She was a brown belt in Shorei Ryu karate and was in the midst of earning her black belt. She enjoyed fitness and exercise, being with friends, reading, movies, bowling, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, traveling with her husband, staging homes, helping friends and family de-clutter and spending time with her yellow Lab, Cody, a rescue dog.

The family requests memorials to the donor's choice or to Central Illinois Small Animal Rescue Care of Colfax, Ill., in lieu of flowers.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 at Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. A dinner for family and friends in celebration of her life will be held at noon Thursday, Dec. 6 at the Clifton Community Building.
