RUSHVILLE —
Lewis R. “Lou” Huckaby, 49, of Arlington, passed away Dec. 6, 2012.
He was born July 22, 1963 in New Castle to Lewis E. and Arvie Ann (Wilkerson) Huckaby. He spent his early life in New Castle, graduating from New Castle Chrysler High School in 1982. He had been in Rush County since 1996. He married Karen Hinton Jan. 1, 2008; she survives.
Lou was a maintenance millwright many years. He work at Detroit Steel in Morristown, Roll Coater in Greenfield and Metal Dyne in New Castle. Bunge in Morristown was his last place of employment before becoming too ill in July, 2012 to continue to work.
In addition to his wife, Karen of Arlington, Lou is survived by his mother, Arvie Ann Huckaby of Hodge, La.; daughters, Jennifer J. (Phillip) Martin of Anderson and Jessica Kate Huckaby of New Castle; brothers, Scott and Charles Huckaby, both of Hodge, La. and Brian (Tina) Huckaby of Rushville; step daughters, Amy Whitfield of Gwynneville and Heather Whitfield of Rushville; four grandchildren and one step grandson.
He was preceded in death by his father.
There will be a visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Cremation will follow.
