Rushville Music Study Club met

RUSHVILLE — The Rushville Music Study Club met Oct. 10 at the United Methodist Church in Rushville with 14 members, one associate an one honorary member attending. New business included discussion of the club attending the upcoming Madrigal performances as a group in December in place of our regular meeting. Elaine Williamson was also welcomed as a new member to the club.

A delightful program on the music of Ira and George Gershwin and Jimmy and Tommy Dorsey, in keeping with the theme of family, was presented by Marilyn Dunn, Donna Garner, Nancy Badger, Kathy Wright, Donna Kuhn, Valerie Wilson and accompanied by Mike Woods. Three part harmony, the use of instruments and solos made for an especially delightful evening of music.

Delicious refreshments were served by Pat Bird and Karen Ward in keeping with the fall season.
