Rushville —
The Caroline Scott Harrison Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Indianapolis recently awarded Paige Newhouse the DAR Good Citizen Award.
Paige was chosen Good Citizen over high school seniors from six schools in Indianapolis. Her essay has been submitted to the Indiana State DAR essay contest for consideration.
She is the daughter of Tracy and Julie Newhouse and is a senior at the International School in Indianapolis.
Paige received a $500 scholarship for college. She plans to major in economics and has several colleges in contention.
The Caroline Scott Harrison Chapter is the third largest DAR Chapter in the country with more than 500 members. In attendance at the award ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Newhouse; Sarah Weddle, aunt of Paige; and Mrs. Laurie Bosin, Paige’s college counselor at the International School.

The members of Psi Iota Xi, Iota chapter held a Mother-Daughter-Doll Tea on Sunday, May 5 in the basement of St Paul’s United Methodist Church. Mothers, daughters and their dolls gathered for an afternoon of pleasantries.
