Noble Niters met

RUSHVILLE — The Noble Niters met Sept. 26 at the New Salem Methodist Educational Building. Fourteen members answered the roll call with what they did over Labor Day. Dixie Meyer read “WalMart” for inspiration. Christie Singleton reminded members of the need for volunteers for Changing Footprints. She also reminded members to vote in the upcoming election.

Dixie reviewed plans for the December dinner meeting at Highpoint Orchard on Dec. 12. Christie Singleton and Beth Barnes will be hostesses. Members decided to bring donations for the food pantry to the November meeting. Dixie reminded members of Achievement Night on Oct. 2 and the Living Well conference on Oct. 9. Dixie provided members the booklet, “Preserving your Story.” Carla Angle presented the program, “Raising Children in Today’s World.”

Beth Barnes and Christie Singleton provided refreshments. The next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. at the NSUMC Ed. Building with dinner provided by membership chairmen Marlene Fudge and Connie Meyer as reward for gaining the most members this year.

    The Jivin Jackson 4-H Club met June 11 at the Jackson Township Community Building for prejudging and their last regular meeting before the Rush County Fair. Garret Sammons, secretary called the meeting to order with John Alexander leading the American pledge and Kylee Macy leading the 4-H pledge.

    The Noble Niters met May 29 at New Salem Methodist Church Ed building. Fifteen members and four guests attended. Linda Murphy read “Graduation” for inspiration. She also gave a report on “How to Buy Bliss.” The members discussed plans for Achievement Night in October.
