RUSHVILLE —
The Rushville Music Study Club met Feb. 20 at the Rushville United Methodist Church with 11 members, two associate members and one honorary member attending.
The meeting opened with the club’s meditation. New business consisted mostly of discussion of the club’s end-of-the-year program tentatively scheduled for June 12.
The program on Nat and Natalie Cole, Whitney Houston and Dionne Warwick was presented by Barb Waits, Valerie Wilson, Nancy Mitchell, Scott Wildey and guest Anna Smith. Numbers included Nat and Natalie’s “Unforgettable” and “Stardust;” Whitney’s “The Greatest Love of All” and “One Moment in Time;” and Dionne’s “What the World Needs Now is Love Sweet Love.”
Delicious refreshments of Valentine cupcakes, chocolates, nuts and tea were served by Donna Kuhn and Judy Springmire.

The Jivin Jackson 4-H Club met May 14 at the Jackson Township Community Club with Jarrod White calling the meeting to order, Caitlyn Morris leading the American pledge and Devan Draper leading the 4-H pledge.

Mother-Daughter-Doll Tea a success
The members of Psi Iota Xi, Iota chapter held a Mother-Daughter-Doll Tea on Sunday, May 5 in the basement of St Paul’s United Methodist Church. Mothers, daughters and their dolls gathered for an afternoon of pleasantries.

The RCHS Class of 1983 is planning their 30 year class reunion for this summer. The event will take place starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at the Knights of Columbus.

Cayla Simmermon and Mylee Simmermon, both at Butler University and from Knightstown, were recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.
