RCCF announces grant application deadlines

RUSHVILLE — Garry Cooley, executive director of the Rush County Community Foundation, wants to remind everyone of the following grant application deadlines:

Shane Young Memorial Soccer Fund – This fund was established by Shane’s family as a memorial for Shane’s love of soccer. The proceeds are to be distributed annually as decided by a selection committee. The purpose is to promote soccer in Rush County and the proceeds may be used to send a delegate to a soccer camp; to improve soccer facilities; to promote sportsmanship; to train adult leaders; to proved monies for training youth in soccer skills; or to serve as a conduit for those interested in helping support youth soccer. Deadline for application is 4 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15.

Rush County Parks Fund - to provide support to parks programs not ordinarily funded by City or County Government. This grant is available to all established parks in Rush County. Deadline for application is 4 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15.

Rush County Youth Athletic Fund to support the training of amateur athletes and coaches and promote educational opportunities for youth through athletic excellence. Deadline for application is 4 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15.
