RUSHVILLE —
The Iota chapter of Psi Iota Xi, Rushville, held a brief meeting on the evening of Oct. 5 at St Paul’s United Methodist Church.
The meeting was opened by President Emily Ellis with the recitation of the Opening Verse.
Business was conducted with a review of the upcoming cheese ball selling event. Orders are being taken currently. Questions may be directed to Michelle Neuman at 561-2709, message her on Facebook or send her email to mom26wild1s@hotmail.com.
Also discussed was the Chicago bus trip that was scheduled for the next day.
The hostesses for the meeting were Sharon Creager and Ashley Steirs.
After closing the meeting everyone worked on preparation for the Chicago trip the next morning.
The breakfast boxes and returning snack boxes were filled for the Chicago trip.
The next day, Oct 6, a large group of ladies departed St Paul’s United Methodist Church parking lot for their trip to Chicago to shop the Magnificent Mile. Upon arrival to Chicago the women, some daughters and granddaughters, went their different directions. Several had made advance reservations to spend time at the American Girl store and to eat lunch there. Others visited stores not available in our area while others took advantage of the city tour bus to see the sites.
After a long day everyone boarded the bus buzzing with their adventures, then a quiet overcame the bus as it returned to Rushville a little before 11 p.m.
Watch for future tours sponsored by Psi Iota Xi, Iota.
