Jivin Jackson 4-H Club

RUSHVILLE — The Jivin Jackson 4-H Club met January 8 at the Jackson Township Community Building with Michaela Orme, president calling the meeting to order. The American pledge was led by Austin Hubbell and the 4-H pledge by Macey Orme. Roll call response “Your Favorite Christmas Gift” was answered by 29 members. There were seven guests and leaders Judy Leisure, Karen Macy, Lisa and Bill Markley in attendance. The minutes of the previous meeting were read by Madison Sutter and Alisha Markley gave the treasurer’s report.

Cassidy Tellas gave the health and safety report on “The Affects of Sitting Too Long.” Monica Robinson and Olivia Dora led the group in singing the 4-H Song. Members were reminded of the 4-H Family Fun Night at the Root Building, the upcoming Tractor meetings and the Beef Weigh in on Jan. 26 with a snow date of Feb. 2.  

Demonstrations were given as follows: Caitlyn Morris - Latchook, Austin Hubbell - Safety Tips for Gun Shooting, Brianna Smith - Painting, Jalyn Miller - Oil Painting, Macey Orme - Dog Obedience Materials and Michaela Orme - Different Types of Painting and Drawing.

After recreation, refreshments were furnished by Caitlyn and Lexy Morris, Austin Hubbell, Jalyn Miller, Brianna Smith, Macey and Michaela Orme.
