Kountry Farmer and Farmerettes 4-H Club

RUSHVILLE — The Kountry Farmer and Farmerettes 4-H Club met Feb. 11 at Milroy Elementary School with Zach Turner, president, calling the meeting to order. The pledge to the American flag was led by Jacob Fallowell and the 4-H Pledge was led by Blaine Loggan. There were 23 members present and leaders Phil Mitchell, Gina Loggan and Allen Leising.

The treasurer’s report was given by Andrew Miller. 4-H program books were handed out to members. Demonstrations were given by Maddie Turner “Care of Cats,” Tyler Turner “Care of Dogs,” and Zach Turner, “ATV Tire Maintenance.”

Songs were led by Kara Sizemore, Maddie Turner and Tyler Turner. Ideas for a completion trip were discussed and will be voted on at the next meeting.

For recreation, the group played the game of “Rhythm.”

Refreshments of Dilly Bars were supplied to all members and parents.

The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. March 11 at Milroy Elementary School.

    The Jivin Jackson 4-H Club met June 11 at the Jackson Township Community Building for prejudging and their last regular meeting before the Rush County Fair. Garret Sammons, secretary called the meeting to order with John Alexander leading the American pledge and Kylee Macy leading the 4-H pledge.

  • Noble Niters meet

    The Noble Niters met May 29 at New Salem Methodist Church Ed building. Fifteen members and four guests attended. Linda Murphy read “Graduation” for inspiration. She also gave a report on “How to Buy Bliss.” The members discussed plans for Achievement Night in October.
