Rush County Parks Fund awards annual grant
The Rush County Parks Fund was established by Dan Moster to provide support to the parks throughout Rush County and for programs to benefit the people who use those parks. This support shall be for projects or programs not ordinarily funded by the budgets of either city or county governments.

Tri Kappa to host event

Clarkson gives Rotary program “Law in the 60s”
The Rushville Rotary Club met at noon on Tuesday, April 9, in the Kenneth L. Earnest conference room at Rush Memorial Hospital. Given the beauty of the day, several of the formalities were dispensed with and, following the usually sumptuous fare, acting president Jan Dimick introduced local attorney and noted philanthropist C. Jack Clarkson, who presented the program for the day.

Jivin Jackson 4-H Club shares demonstrations
The Jivin Jackson 4-H Club met April 9 at the Jackson Township Community Club with secretary, Garret Sammons calling the meeting to order. The American pledge was led by Katharine Woodhouse and the 4-H pledge was led by Alliza Woodhouse.

Woman’s Christian Temperance Union Mid-Year Rally April 20
The Woman’s Christian Temperance Union will be meeting for their Mid-Year Rally on Saturday, April 20, at the Akron Public Library in Akron, Ind. The Saturday meeting will convene at 9:30 a.m. with State President Sarah Ward presiding.

NARFE met in March
Chapter 0813 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees met on March 19 at the Ponderosa Steakhouse in Greensburg for its monthly meeting. The meeting was opened by welcoming those present and followed with Kay Hineman leading the group with the Pledge of Allegiance and the invocation.
