He graduated from Cincinnati Christian University in 2007 and served at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Ky., teaching junior high students. Matt, his wife Anna, and their six-month-old son Gabriel have been serving at Clarksburg Christian Church as associate pastor for the past three years. He is a dynamic preacher who is able to bring everyday application to the principals that God has set forth in his word. Using everyday language and humor Hatfield brings a passion and excitement to following Christ in the 21st century.

"Scared To Death"

Each of us in this world has one thing in common. We will eventually die. What makes people view death differently? Those who have peace about death are the ones who know Jesus Christ. Some influential people love to tell the world that Christians are narrow minded by claiming that Jesus is the only way to heaven. Actually these are not our words, but rather the Word of God. When compared to every other world religion each of their leaders’ bones can be found in the grave. Only Jesus Christ the Son of God rose from the grave. Jesus appeared to many witnesses after his death before he ascended into heaven. Who will you believe? John 14:1-3 tells us what Jesus said to the believers, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." We do not have to fear death because Jesus has overcome death for each person who believes in him. Join this Sunday for our continuing series on FEARLESS.

Changing Hearts

We are the human agents through which revival is possible. Are you in the place where God can trust you with revival? Are you ready? He is sovereign. He is supernatural. But He comes down. In his sovereign purpose and wise economy He has placed this treasure in earthen vessels, us. Are you one the He can use? Are you in intimate fellowship with God?

Pray with Pastor Layton and Changing Hearts for revival. Join us this Sunday for a strong prayer and great fellowship to prepare us as Christians for revival to break out soon.
