RUSHVILLE —
The grand opening of St. Paul's United Methodist Church's newest ministry to the community, The Hope Spot, will be from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 4 on the church parking lot, 426 N. Morgan St. The Hope Spot is a community store on wheels and is designed to meet the ever-growing needs of this community.
Hebrews 3:16 says, "Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God." The people of St. Paul's have always wanted and worked to meet the needs of the community. The cost of sending children back to school can be overwhelming and more than some parents can manage. We saw the need and the congregation has come together to support these families. This event is open to the public.
Items available for the Back to School event include new and gently used clothing for school-age children as well as backpacks and a variety of school supplies. There is no pricing, but a free will offering will be accepted. For more information, contact the church at 932-3777.
