Rushville Church of Christ
Special music Sunday at Rushville Church of Christ will be brought by Alan and Lisa King. Jerry Holdman’s message will consider the third spiritual discipline for God’s people: Fasting. The Bible has a lot to say about this subject, but it is greatly misunderstood by Christians today. We will look at the scriptural principles and values of this discipline. It can be a great blessing in many ways.
Bible classes will meet.
We will go roller skating at New Castle in the afternoon. We will leave the church parking lot at 1:30 p.m. All ages are welcome to attend.
Angel Food delivery will be 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday. Also orders for the February menu may be made.
Carthage Wesleyan Church
Our message was delivered this week from our Senior Pastor Charles Stroud. Pastor Stroud spoke of the many questions that we may be asked as Christians. He also gave several examples of questions that our children may ask about God and provided biblical examples for the answers to these questions. Pastor Stroud also spoke some questions that may always remain a mystery to us while here on earth.
We were treated to special music from Tiffany Brown, Chuck Hendrickson, Houston Spence and Tim Hensley.
We would like to invite everyone to join us at 7 p.m. Wednesday for our new program for children, Kids Camp, which is geared towards children younger than age 12, and is intended to help build a biblical foundation for those children who participate. The adult Bible study meets at the same time as the kids program. All are invited to join us.
If you are looking for a church with biblical based teaching and strong fellowship come pay us a visit. Here at Carthage Wesleyan Church you are only a stranger once.

"Fear of Not Mattering"
Every one of us regardless of our age want to be seen as significant. We want our lives to truly matter. What is it that matters most to you. Do you measure your self worth by the world's standards? What does the Bible say we are worth? "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." (Matthew 10:29-31)
We are not insignificant no matter what others may say. "For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago." (Ephesians 2:10)
We at PCCC invite you to join us in the continuing journey of living FEARLESS! Come learn about God's plan for your life.
Changing Hearts
Pastor Samuel Layton at Changing Hearts wants to thank everyone for a great dedication to the new church Jan. 3. Starting this Sunday Pastor Layton will be teaching a four-part series titled “Twelve Keys to Answered Prayer.” He is looking for wonderful children of God to stand with him and help him with this great blessing and calling. This ministry has great things happening. Don’t miss out. Through practical teaching from the word of God, dynamic praise and worship and special activities and events, the pastor desires that you realize your full potential in Christ.
Starting this week there will be Kids’ Church at 9 a.m.
