Plum Creek Christian Church
What does God want for his church? Doesn’t he want more for his people than a once a week church service?
Ephesians chapter 1:15-23 reveals a lot about what God wants for us. Paul states, “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that you may know him better.”
Paul also prayed that our eyes would be open to the hope to which he has called us to. And the incomparably great power for us who believe! We are created with a purpose.
In the words of Henry H. Halley, “What is there, what can there be, to make life worthwhile, apart from the Christian hope.”
Through him we have certain victory at the end of this life. The world fears the rising power of other nations; yet refuses to see the power of God Almighty who raised Jesus Christ from the dead! Christ is now the head of the church, the ultimate authority. Whom shall we fear? Not even Satan himself can separate us from the love of Christ.
That same power is available to the believers through the power of the Holy Spirit. God has already won the battle. Whose side are you on? Give your soul to the one who created it, not the one intent on destroying you.
Open your Bible this week and ask for the spirit of wisdom and revelation so you may know God better. Time spent in the Word of God is never wasted.
Visit with us this Sunday to learn more about Jesus. If you don’t have a Bible we offer you one free of charge.
