RUSHVILLE —
Ivy Tech Richmond is taking its admissions, financial aid, assessment, orientation and advising staff to five public libraries across the area beginning Nov. 28, in Rushville.
Area residents, high school students and those who qualify for “Take a Course on Us” credits, will be able to complete the steps necessary to register and start spring semester college classes. Ivy Tech staff will help attendees whether they are inquiring about college, are first time students, previously started the process and stopped, attended Ivy Tech previously or are a continuing student registering for spring semester.
Those who are unable to meet with Ivy Tech staff and have questions should contact Chris Seger, Admissions Director, at 1-800-659-4562, ext. 1218, by email crethlake@ivytech.edu or go to ivytech.edu/Richmond.
The Ivy Tech team will be at the following libraries:
Rushville Public Library, Wednesday, Nov. 28 from noon - 4 p.m.
Franklin County Public Library, Thursday, Nov. 29 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Union County Public Library, Monday, Dec. 3 from noon - 4 p.m.
Cambridge City Public Library, Wednesday, Dec. 5 from noon – 4 p.m.
Fayette County Public Library, Friday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
For events beginning at noon, attendees should arrive no later than 1 p.m. for assessment testing or 3 p.m. for advising. Events beginning at 10 a.m., attendees should arrive no later than 11 a.m. for testing or 1 p.m. for advising.

The RCHS Class of 1983 is planning their 30 year class reunion for this summer. The event will take place starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at the Knights of Columbus.

Kindergarten class hears guest book reader
Marlene Fudge, Rush County Farm Bureau women’s leader, read the book “A to Z Corn” to Mrs. Angle’s Kindergarten class and presented the book to the classroom. Mrs. Fudge also made a snack for each student out of different kinds of corn cereal.

The Youth in Philanthropy Grants Committee, comprised of Rush County high school students from Rushville Consolidated High School, Knightstown High School and Home School High Schools, recently met to review grant applications for the annual grant cycle for the Youth in Philanthropy Fund.
