Hard work and persistence take on new meaning when those qualities are recognized and celebrated. Gordon Pope of Jostens, Inc. recently presented Randall Kemp and Briessa Hauk with complimentary class rings as part of the Rushville Consolidated High School (RCHS) Lion Pride Program. Randall and Briessa were chosen for improvement in their academic progress, leadership and citizenship from their freshman to sophomore year. The RCHS Class of 1983 is planning their 30 year class reunion for this summer. The event will take place starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at the Knights of Columbus.

Kindergarten class hears guest book reader
Marlene Fudge, Rush County Farm Bureau women’s leader, read the book “A to Z Corn” to Mrs. Angle’s Kindergarten class and presented the book to the classroom. Mrs. Fudge also made a snack for each student out of different kinds of corn cereal.
