RUSHVILLE —
Rushville's cross country teams traveled to New Palestine on a warm Thursday for a 3-way meet with the Dragons and Hornets of Beech Grove.
For the girls, New Palestine was the only team with a complete roster and won with a perfect score of 15.
The Lady Lions were led by Michaela Orme with an 11th place finish in 26:01.
Monica Dougherty crossed the line in 14th with a time of 26:38.
Tiffany Nickel was next for the Lady Lions in 15th with a time of 27:25.
Anne Coffin finished 20th with a time of 31:55.
The Lions claimed the team title with a score of 23. New Palestine was second with 46 and Beech Grove had 53.
Evan Dyer led the Lions with a second place time of 18:32.
Nick Zepeda was third in 18:43.
James Brashaber took fifth in 19:03.
Ryan Fogg was sixth in 19:26.
Josh Clifton crossed the line seventh in 19:46.
Michael Ford was next for the Lions in 18th with a time of 21:14.
Dalton Miller was 21 st in 21:33.
Zach Dorrel was 22 nd in 21:34.
Garrett Young finished 28th in 23:22 and Ryan Edwards finished 29th in 23:36.
Both RCHS teams will be in action Tuesday at the Trojan Invitational at East Central. Start time is set for 5 p.m.

The Lions capped the regular season with a 10-8 victory over Richmond at McBride Stadium.

Lions roll Chargers on Senior Night
The Lions honored three players (Matt St. John, Mitch Gosnell and Jeff Rennekamp) for Senior Night and then dismantled the North Decatur Chargers 29-1.

For a second year in a row, the Lion track team brought home the hardware from the track sectional at Connersville. The Lions tallied 101 points to earn the championship.
