Fort Wayne Concordia used an 11-2 run to end the third quarter to propel the Lady Cadets to the Class 3A state title 59-48 over No. 1 Rushville.
The Lady Lions trailed 14-13 after one quarter, but rallied to lead 25-24 at the half.
Rushville built the lead to four early in the third quarter, but the Lady Cadets outscored the Lady Lions 20-7 over the last six minutes of the third quarter to lead 46-37 heading to the fourth quarter.
Rushville was able to close to within seven point s on three occasions, but could not get any close as Concordia claimed the state title by 11 points.
The Lady Cadets had four players in double figures – Erynn Meiklejohn 16, Anna Goeglein 12, Angela Doerffler 12 and Andrea Newbauer 11.
Shelbie Justice led Rushville with 18 points followed by Morgan Herbert and Alexa Bess both with 10.
