Fall Creek golf course was the host for the Hoosier Heritage Conference golf tournament Saturday. Yorktown swept top honors with the individual medalist of 73 and team score of 330. Delta was second overall with 360. Mt. Vernon took third with 377. Greenfield-Central was fourth with 379. The Lady Lions finished fifth with 383, edging Shelbyville by one shot (384). Host Pendleton Heights was seventh with 404 and New Palestine was eighth with 427. The Lady Lions were led by Samantha Garner with (45-40) 85. She earned all-conference honors for her sixth place finish and received a medal and ribbon. Catie Liggett was next for the Lady Lions with (45-42) 87. She tied for eighth, but moved to ninth on the tie-break and received a ribbon. Maggie Hurst carded (51-53) 104. Samantha Pogue finished with (52-55) 107. Abbey Gulde had a (59-53) 112. The Lady Lions return to action today in a rescheduled match with Franklin County at Antler Pointe Golf Club. Batesville edges Lady Lions In earlier action, visiting Batesville defeated the Lady Lions 186-187. South Decatur was incomplete with just two players. Batesville’s Brooke Bedel took individual medalist honors with 41. Liggett led the Lady Lions with 44. Garner finished with 46. Pogue had 48. Katie Hurst and Brooke Kirchoff (ties personal best) both carded 49. Gulde was a shot back with 50. Whitley Disbro finished with 55. Maggie Hurst had 56. Kylie Martindale and Taylor Mock both had 57. Tiffany Murphy finished with 63 and Kelsey Bridges had 66.Sports

Bulletin: RCHS boys basketball schedule change
The boys varsity basketball game at Centerville on Saturday has been rescheduled for Monday. The JV start time is 6 p.m. followed by the varsity game at approximately 7:30 p.m

Madison tops Lady Lions in final
The sectional title game Saturday at Batesville pitted the Lady Cubs of Madison and the Lady Lions of Rushville. For a second consecutive year, the Lady Cubs extended their season with a sectional championship, knocking off Rushville 54-45.

Bulldogs hand Lions 66-46 loss
The Batesville High School gymnasium was hopping with games nearly every
night last week. Squeezed in between the girls basketball sectional was a boys' game on Thursday. -
BRMS eighth-grade Black
The BRMS eighth-grade girls Black defeated the Greensburg Lady Pirates 38-34. Leading the way for the Lady Cubs was Lilly Cramer with 16 points. McKenzie Woolston added 11 points.

Wrestlers bow out at semistate
Three Lion wresters made the trip to New Castle Saturday for the semistate. Unfortunately for the Lions, the solid field at the semistate eliminated the Lions before any could qualify for the state finals.

Lady Lions eliminate Lady Knights
The goal in the tournament is to advance and that is what the Lady Lions did Tuesday at Batesville with a 53-50 victory over South Dearborn.

Lady Lion gymnasts fall to visiting Lady Dragons
After winning the Rushville Invitational Saturday, the Lady Dragons of New Palestine returned to Rushville Monday to face the Lady Lions. New Palestine continued its strong way with a 98.175-89.275 victory over Rushville.

Girls headed to bowling semistate
The Rushville Bowl girl's high school bowling team will be traveling to Anderson Saturday to compete in the semistate of the state wide bowling tournament.
