RUSHVILLE —
The Lady Lion varsity soccer team traveled to Triton Center and picked up win No. 1 on the season with a 10-2 victory over the Lady Tigers. Bekah Miller opened the scoring just five minutes into the game. Just 10 minutes later, Miller scored again off the assist from Mariah Cain. Miller completed the hat trick four minutes. Taylor Gilbert got into the scoring column as she got the ball past the Lady Tiger keeper. Caroline Kuhn took a throw-in from Meagan Hittle and found the net. Miller added her fourth goal to give the Lady Lions a 6-0 lead at the half. Hittle got her first goal of the season to open the second half. Kuhn added her second goal of the night to increase the Lady Lion lead. Rounding out the scoring on the night were Cain and Reagan Smith. Triton Central was scoreless until midway through the second half and then a late Lady Tiger goal made the final margin 10-2. RCHS head coach Markus Strobl complimented the entire team on a strong performance and getting the first win of the season. He was pleased with the play of Hittle in the midfield and Miller at forward. The Lady Lions travel to Delta Saturday.Sports
