Lady Lions improve to 8-4

In a busy week for the Lady Lion golf team, Rushville has improved to 8-4 with wins over Franklin County, Greensburg and Knightstown. Against Franklin County, the Lady Lions posted a 187-202 varsity win and 100-135 reserve win. Catie Liggett earned individual medalist honors with 43. Samantha Pogue carded a personal best 46. Katie Hurst was two shots back with 48. Samantha Garner and Abbey Gulde both had 50. Maggie Hurst finished with 53 and Brooke Kirchoff had 55. Other scores for the Lady Lions included Whitley Disbro 49 (personal best), Kylie Martindale 51 (personal best), Kelsey Bridges 67, Taylor Mock 68 and Tiffany Murphy 69. The Lady Lions then posted a team total 194 to top Greensburg (211) and Knightstown (212). Liggett and Katie Hurst (personal best) both finished with 47. Pogue had 49. Gulde finished with 51 and Maggie Hurst had 53. Other scores for the Lady Lions included Kirchoff 54, Disbro 54, Martindale 54, Carrie Alexander 59, Murphy 60, Mock 60 and Bridges 66.
