The Riverbandits were the Rookie League Tournament Champions. The goal in the tournament is to advance and that is what the Lady Lions did Tuesday at Batesville with a 53-50 victory over South Dearborn.
After winning the Rushville Invitational Saturday, the Lady Dragons of New Palestine returned to Rushville Monday to face the Lady Lions. New Palestine continued its strong way with a 98.175-89.275 victory over Rushville.
The Rushville Bowl girl's high school bowling team will be traveling to Anderson Saturday to compete in the semistate of the state wide bowling tournament.
Rushville hosted a 4-team tournament in Memorial Gym and ended the day with the championship.
On the road at Shelbyville, the Lion swim team was defeated by the Golden Bears.
The Rush County Youth Soccer league is taking applications for youth who want to play on a traveling soccer team.
Memorial Gym was rocking Friday night as Class 3A No. 2 Greensburg invaded Rushville to face the Lions. Rushville (4-11) gave the Pirates (16-0) all they could handle and the game was not decided until the final minute.

Rushville took seven wrestlers to the Richmond Regional Saturday and the Lions crowned one as individual champion.
