RUSHVILLE —
Ron Combs picked up the win in the 25-lap Dutch Mill Buffet UMRA TQ Midget feature at his home track at the Decatur County Fairgrounds in Greensburg on Friday night. He made the winning pass just before the halfway point and never looked back in a race that saw close racing throughout the field. Terry Goff finished second. CJ Leary was third. Brandon Gray was fourth and Michael Koontz rounded out the top five. The 10-lap heats went to Combs, CJ Leary and Becky Brown. The 12-lap semi feature sponsored by Gray Auto and Tony Stewart Racing went to Terry Goff. The $50 to the highest finishing rookie as part of the “Tony Stewart Rookie Challenge” went to CJ Leary. The five gallons of fuel for the GandG Oil “Hard Charger of the Race” went to Trent Henderson who came from 16th to sixth in the feature. Saturday Brandon Gray gets first win at Brownstown At long last Brandon Gray got his first career win in Dutch Mill Buffet UMRA TQ Midget competition on Saturday night at the Brownstown Speedway. Gray started fifth in the 20-lap feature and worked his way to the top spot after passing early leader Combs who he had finished second to twice in the 2010 season. Jason Goff finished second. Zach Cougill was third. Combs was fourth and Doug Roland rounded out the top five. The eight-lap heats were won by Combs and Nick Speidel. The $50 from the “Tony Stewart Rookie Challenge” went to CJ Leary who was the highest finishing rookie. The five gallons of fuel for the GandG Oil “Hard Charger of the Race” went to Doug Roland who came from 11th to fifth in the feature. The next stop in the 50th anniversary season of the Dutch Mill Buffet UMRA TQ Midgets is Friday July 16 at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds in Columbus.Sports
