RUSHVILLE —
Rushville senior Joe Garland competed in the 20th annual Indiana/Illinois Senior All-Star Duals Sunday at Lawrence North High School.
Entering Garland's match with Jake Conchrane of Mundelein Carmel High School (44-2 and Illinois state third place finisher), Indiana led 25-23. That meant the winner of the Garland/Conchrane match would ensure a victory for the team.
Garland defeated Conchrane 3-1 to lift the Indiana "A" team to a 28-23 victory.
At the Duals, the highest finishing senior was on the "AA" team and the next highest was on the "A" team.
