In the preliminary round of the girls swim sectional, the Lady Lions advanced three relay teams to the consolation round to be held today at New Palestine. The top six finishers in each event advance to the final with the next six taking part in the consolations.
The Lady Lions' 200 medley relay team of Caitlyn Hasche, Kiki Xue, Kayla Springmire and Hillary Cain finished in 2:55.56.
The Lady Lions 200 freestyle relay team of Rachel Beavers, Paige Newhouse, Mikayla Carpenter and Cain finished in a season best 2:19.98.
The 400 freestyle relay team of Newhouse, Beavers, Springmire and Carpenter finished in a season best 5:18.85.
In the 200 freestyle, Newhouse finished 20th in 2:32.86 and Carpenter was 26 th in a personal best 2:50.18.
Springmire was 21 st in the 200 individual medley with a time of 3:30.67.
In the 50 freestyle, Beavers finished 24th in :32.48 followed by Cain 28th in personal best :37.07 and Hasche 30th in personal best :42.02.
Beavers had a personal best time of 1:14.05 for 24th in the 100 freestyle. Carpenter had a personal best 1:18.24 for 28th and Springmire was 30 th in a personal best 1:22.79.
Newhouse was 22 nd in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:47.93.
Hasche was 24th in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:49.04.
Xue finished 27 th in the 100 breaststroke with a personal best time of 1:47.32.
