The Lady Lions' run in the tournament came to an end in the semistate at

Richmond Saturday as the Mt. Vernon Lady Marauders defeated Rushville 59-51

to earn a berth in the Class 3A state final next Saturday in Terre Haute.

The Lady Marauders will face a familiar foe in Hamilton Heights for the 3A

state championship. Hamilton Heights defeated Mt. Vernon 70-61 earlier this

season. The Lady Lions finish the season with a 22-4 record.
