RUSHVILLE —
Valerie C. Owens and Benjamin C. Laird were united in marriage June 17, 2011, in Pensacola, Fla., where Ben is currently continuing his training for the United States Navy.
The bride is the daughter of Chris and Sandy Owens of Rushville and the groom is the son of Eric and Marianne Laird of Waldron and Kathy and Marc Gahimer of St. Paul.
The bride's parents, son Carson and the groom's father and stepmother were in presence at the small ceremony.
A reception is planned for Saturday, July 23, in the Rushville Elk's Ballroom. The celebration will begin at 7 p.m. for family and friends.
The bride and groom will be residing in Norfolk, Va., where Ben will be working with aviation ordinance.
