Pamela Michelle Powers and Jaret Michael Wicker were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Oct. 10, 2009 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg with Monsignor Harold Knueven officiating.
The bride is the daughter of John and Cindy Powers of Rushville and the groom is the son of Michael and Carolyn Wicker of Rushville.
Music was provided by organist Joe Bottles of Connersville and Rick Williams of Rushville on trumpet.
The bride wore an ivory wedding gown that was a silk satin sheath featuring a sweetheart neckline and English net overlay adorned with appliqués of Alencon lace. The lace border defined the chapel train. Buttons and loops detailed the center back. The bride’s bouquet was a round full nosegay of Vendela ivory roses, mini calla lilies, and white dendrobium orchids wrapped in the lace from both her mother’s and grandmother’s wedding dresses.
The bridesmaids wore strapless tea-length dresses in eggplant carrying full round nosegay bouquets consisting of “Forever Young” red roses, Irises, and deep purple and magenta dendrobium orchids. The maid of honor was Alisa Henderson, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Meredith Barnett, Andrea Jones-Peeples and Amanda Stoermer, friends of the bride, and Quinn Wicker, sister of the groom. Flower girl was Audrey Gulley, cousin of the bride.
The best man was Jonathan Bitner, friend of groom. Groomsmen were Chris Hoeing, Doug Hoeing, Craig Wagner, friends of the groom, and Craig Powers, brother of bride.
Ring bearer was Adam Gulley, cousin of bride.
Ushers were Jordan Atkins, Ryne LaRowe, Grant Vondielingen and Adam Wallace, friends of the groom. Guest registrants were Emma Brown and Sarah Webster, friends of the bride.
Readers during the ceremony were Kiersten Kamman and Brittany Graves, friends of the bride.
A reception dinner and dance followed at Maxim Events in Shelbyville.
Grandparents attending included Joe and Rosie Chance, Barbara Powers, Paul and Betty Jeffers, and Jim and Phyllis Wicker.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted the night before the wedding by the groom's parents at the Country Club in Greensburg.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School and a 2007 graduate of DePauw University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics. The groom is a 2003 graduate of RCHS and a 2007 graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Systems Management.
After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple now resides in Chicago, Ill.
