Abby Lynn Newbold and Michael Andrew Gordon were married at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 22, 2008 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rushville with Father William Turner officiating.
Wesley Green and Keith Yager, cousins of the bride were the altar servers. Organist was Susan Yager Powers, bride’s cousin; vocalist was Annette Niehoff.
The bride is the daughter of Scott and Nancy Newbold of Rushville. The groom is the son of Michael Gordon and Michele and John Egielske of Rushville.
Maid of Honor was Susan Russell, Manilla, friend of bride. Bridesmaids were Steffi Newbold, Rushville, bride’s sister; Rachel Pickering, Rushville, friend of the couple; Briana Spilman, Arlington; Amber Moffett, Rushville, bride’s cousins; Nikki Kuhn, Milroy, bride’s friend. Junior bridemaids were Katy Newbold, bride’s sister; Katie Egielske, groom’s sister; Olivia Yager, cousin and goddaughter of bride and Ella Connolly, bride’s cousin were flower girls.
Best man was Greg Amos, Rushville, couple’s friend. Groomsmen were Eric Amos, Rushville; Curtis Dolan, Falmouth; Adam Schock, Milroy; Will Degelow, Manilla, friends of groom; and Aaron Newbold, Rushville, bride’s brother. Junior groomsman was Mason Gordon, groom’s brother.
Readings were read by Patty Moffett, aunt and godmother of the bride; and Kelly Connolly, aunt of the bride. Brooke Moffett and Jennifer Moffett, bride’s cousins handed out programs.
Grandparents in attendance were Alfred and Eleanor Yager and Sandy Hines, grandparents of bride; Robert and Juanita Cooper, Larry and Sandy Gordon, groom’s grandparents; and Bernice Gordon, great-grandmother of the groom.
Reception and dance were held at the Root Building. The cake was made by Connie Meyer. Cake servers were Clarissa Spilman, bride’s aunt; Lori Moran and Jenny Wilson, groom’s aunts. Meal was catered by Lori Hoeing with pork roasted by Jeff and Connie Amos and family.
The bride graduated from Rushville Consolidated High School in 2005 and is employed at Veterinary Care and Consultation PC in Rushville. The groom graduated from RCHS in 2006 and is employed at Harvest Land Co-op in Rushville.
The couple traveled to Cancun for their honeymoon.
