wedding: Land-Osborne

Shannon Michelle Land and David Alan Osborne were married at 2:30 p.m. July 28, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rushville with Father William Turner officiating.

Brayton Schultz and Tanner Koors, friends of the couple, were the altar servers. Organist was Jeff Gates and vocalist was Annette Niehoff.

Maid of Honor was Amy Land, sister of the bride. Matron of Honor was Karen Graves, bride’s sister. Bridesmaids were Joni Hauk, groom’s sister; Jan Wlllhelm, groom’s sister; Melinda Miller, bride’s friend; Megan Cain, bride’s friend; and Lauren Click, bride’s friend. Junior bridesmaid was Heidi Schultz, friend of the couple. Flowers girls were Reagan Hauk and Jacey Willhelm, groom’s nieces.

Best Man was Mark Osborne, twin brother of the groom. Groomsmen were David Schultz, groom’s friend; Drew Dora, groom’s friend; Matt Willhelm, groom’s brother-in-law; Jeff Fussner, groom’s friend; Tom Fussner, groom’s friend; and Doodie Schultz, groom’s friend. Junior groomsman was Chandler Graves, bride’s nephew.

Ushers were Jason Graves, bride’s brother-in-law; Ryan Land, bride’s cousin; Greg Hauk, groom’s brother-in-law; and Scott Fostrum, groom’s friend.

Readings were read by Norma Schilling, bride’s aunt, and John Corn, groom’s cousin. Jody Carmony and Melinda Dora, friends of the couple, handed out programs.

Grandparents in attendance were Geneva Land and Phil and Patty Simmermon, grandparents of the bride; Bob and Ruby Osborne, grandparents of the groom.

Reception and dance were at the Root Building. The cake was made by Jenny Lesing. Cake servers were Angie Wright and Mindy Wallpe, bride’s cousins, and Kristy Weber and Toni Osborne, groom’s cousins. Meal was catered by Sam and Maria Trebley.

The daughter of David and Robin Land, the bride graduated from Rushville Consolidated High School in 2000 and went on to Franklin College to receive a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. She currently is employed in the lab at Rush Memorial Hospital.

The son of Steve Osborne and Ron and Donna Wilson, the groom graduated from RCHS in 1994. He currently is a self-employed farmer.

The couple now resides in Rushville.
