Ann Marie Spaeth, daughter of Bernard J. and Betty Spaeth of Rushville and Irvin Joseph Robben, son of Anthony and Florence Robben of Cleves, Ohio were united in marriage at a double ring ceremony at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rushville with Father William Turner officiating. Bobbi Ann Amos, Mary Kate Amos, and Jacki Spaeth, nieces of the bride, were the altar servers. The organist was Jeff Gates, friend of the bride. Joann Roeder, sister of the groom, along with Karl Robben and Matthew Robben, brothers of the groom were vocalists. Joann Roeder also played the guitar. The violin was played by Becca Robben, niece of the groom. Marcus Clemons, nephew of the groom, played the trumpet.
The bride wore a white satin halter dress with beaded lace bodice. It featured a cathedral train embellished with beaded cut-out lace appliqués and rosette adornments. Her fingertip length veil cascaded from the princess cut silver tiara adorned with crystals and pearls. She borrowed Florence Robben’s pearl necklace and earrings that Joe Robben had brought back from a company trip to China. The bride carried an overflowing bridal bouquet with orange gerbera daisies, yellow soliagoes, purplish-blue delphiniums, orangey-red tulips with yellow edging, hot pink roses and asters. She carried an embroidered handkerchief and a red beaded rosary made out of the roses the groom gave her.
Maid of Honor was Denise Amos, goddaughter and niece of bride. Patty Schultz, godmother and sister of the bride, was Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Noreen Robben, sister of groom; Andrea Robben, goddaughter and niece of groom; Natalie Robben, niece of groom. Macy Marie Hoeing, niece of the bride, was the miniature bride.
Best Man was Daniel Robben, godson and nephew of the groom. The groomsmen were Bernie Robben, brother of the groom; Steve Lape, friend of the groom; Greg Amos, godson and nephew of the bride; Nicholas Robben, nephew of the groom. Anthony Spaeth, godson and nephew of the bride was the miniature groom. The ushers were David Spaeth, Chuck Spaeth, and Bengie Spaeth, brothers of the bride.
The groom wore his grandfather’s cuff links.
Lay ministers were Tony Robben, brother of the groom; Kathy Robben, sister-in-law of the groom, Tim Robben, nephew of the groom, and Christie Braun, niece of the groom. The first reading was read by the bride’s brother, Richard Spaeth. Eileen Clemons, sister of the bride, read the second reading, and Cindy Betsch, groom’s sister read the petitions.
Jenny Schultz and Jill Schultz, nieces of the bride, were the guest registerers. After the wedding ceremony, the guests were presented with a seed packet to plant and grow which were handed out by the bride’s nieces, Hannah Schultz, Emily Spaeth, Lilli Spaeth and Madison Sutter.
The couple rode in a horse drawn carriage to the Root Building which was well decorated by the bride’s sisters, Jeannie Sutter and Jennifer Hoeing. Lori Hoeing was catering coordinator. The cake was made by Connie Meyer. Cake servers were Janet Robben, Michelle Robben and Pattie Robben, sister-in-laws of the groom.
The bride graduated from Rushville Consolidated High School in 1991 and Ivy Tech Community College with a certification in Pharmacy. She is currently a bank teller. The groom is a 1983 graduate of Elder High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a machine operator.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple resides in West Harrison.
