l Farm Credit annual dance, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., Knights of Columbus. Tickets $10 at the door with proceeds benefiting cancer research.
l Carthage Volunteer Fire Department fourth annual Community Day beginning at 3 p.m. The free event will have activities for all ages and include an evening fireworks display. l Children's Day at the Gowdy House Museum, 619 N. Perkins, is from 1-3 p.m. Children's activities are planned and the museum and carriage house will be open for tours. There is no charge for this event.
l Bentonville School 11th Reunion at the Bentonville Firehouse. Anyone who attended classes at Bentonville at any time, or anyone interested in the community are welcome to attend. The firehouse will be open at 2 p.m. for social time, cookies and drinks. At 4:30 p.m. there will be a free
will offering buffet followed by a short business meeting and program. Everyone is encouraged to bring pictures, plates, t-shirts or other items

l The Lora Brook Hatfield Day at Stagg's Restaurant and Dairy Treats. A portion of sales from that day will go to the Lora Brook Hatfield Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Rush County Community Foundation. This fund provides scholarships to graduating seniors from RCHS and Knightstown Community High School. Please come and visit with the Hatfield and Newton Families and enjoy great food! Donations will also be accepted.
l Rushville Elks #1307. The Elks is trying something new! Sunday's from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., buffet style with bagels, eggs, bacon, sausage, shredded has browns, pancakes (with fruit available) and even a manned omelet station! Meal comes with choice of tea, lemonade, orange juice or coffee. Available July 22 and 29. Help make this a hit so we can continue to serve you one or two Sunday's a month. Open to the public.

l Ivy Tech Community College Richmond will offer Admissions Information Sessions at local libraries across its five county region. Information will be available at the Rushville Public Library from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 25.
During these free information sessions, Stephanie Hill Alexander will answer questions about degree programs, financial aid, support services and getting started for fall semester.
