Farm Toy Show Sunday

RUSHVILLE — What: Rushville Farm Toy Show

When: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday

Where: RushShelby Building

Sunday will mark the 12th consecutive year Rushville has hosted a Farm Toy Show.

Beginning with the inaugural event in 2000, Rushville City Street Department employee Mark Shepherd has organized the show and he anticipates that this year’s will be one of the largest.

“We have sold out the vendor slots. A number of vendors for this year’s show are coming from four or five states. This will be one of the best we’ve had,” Shepherd said.

The show will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the RushShelby Energy Community Building at the Rush County Fairgrounds and will feature a large assortment of new and classic toys.

“For the second year we will have a lady on hand that makes crafts out of farm related items,” Shepherd said.

Farm toys are items children have utilized for years, and a show of this nature not only provides a way of reconnecting with the past but also provides a jump on the holiday shopping season and serves as a means to get unique, one-of-a-kind items.

The event is free of charge.

For additional information, Shepherd can be contacted at (765) 561-4620.
